If you leave it for a few years you could get the money back

To many people treat it like a lottery instead of what it is.

For most people it’s just for having fun collecting cards, not getting your money back

I mean, the intended value is in building a deck to battle. It’s not really a scam, just not a good investment.

You got scammed by paying 140 for something that goes for 85 😂

Pokémon isn't about money my man.

It’s not meant to be sold, you’re supposed to collect the cards to be able to make a deck to fight with others, and not just to try to get money

It’s not a scam unless you are attempting to resell.

Fun fact: in the next like, 6 years, these will probably be worth more than the 140$.

If you buy cards for a card game to make money, you played yourself and not the game smh.

Absolutely never open boosters or buy boxes or bundles for anything more than fun and maybe the promos. Figure out what you want to buy and stick with singles as much as possible. You are statistically likely to spend less money doing so, as a collector or player. Don’t bother selling unless you are willing to buy tons of cards. Basically… own a card shop or run an ebay store or don’t bother betting on a recoup. I promise the pull rates will screw you way more than they don’t, and you’ll just end up with a bunch of worthless bulk after you sold all your decently priced cards.

It’s not really a scam because most of the cards get more value then longer you keep them if they are in good condition.

They were not made to make money, they were made to be collected, traded and played....

A big thing when opening Pokémon cards is you have to check the set list to see if it’s even possible to get your money back. Currently with Scarlet and Violet base, the most expensive card is around 50$, but with a set like Brilliant Stars or Obsidian Flames, they have cards with 100$ plus value.

Bro really called it a scam when he spent money on something that brought him joy and made him even more money by making this video, he does not deserve to call it a scam since it’s not

I hate people that say it's a scam even though pokemon cards aren't made to make money, they're made to play and collect

I would grade some of the more expensive ones, when graded, cards are worth a lot more
