I didnt' see a pulsejet spinning a chair. What I saw was a pulsejet spinning the entire earth and the chair was stationary. I'd call that a roaring success. Brilliant viddy mate!

You should talk to a fellow YouTuber called collinfurze, he knows everything about pulse jets

Integza: The mad lad who runs a pulse jet engine *indoors*...

I feel you need more air inflow, that's why your engine does better when it increases in rotation on the chair.

Your content is absolutely hilarious. And I even learn stuff here which is cool

I told myself: Stop watching homemade tesla turbines
I stopped watching those. Then plastic pulsejets happened
I told myself: Stop watching homemade plastic pulsejets, I have homework to do
I watched it. I told myself no more.

The nthe madman comes up with a pulsejet office chair.
I need to work, dammit

integze: dont try this at home

I just love the idea that someone about a century ago went, “Hey guys look at this, I’ve designed a jet engine with no moving parts. This could be useful in so many applications, ” and then all this time later people are making them at home and using them to make spinny chairs go really fast.

Great work Integza, few enginerds play with fire and live to tell the tale without burnt arm hair! The Fa of your pulse jet may be suffering from the fuel mixture itself. If you are using propane and the atmosphere (Venturi effect?), my spidey sense thinks that you are not achieving complete combustion of your Hydrocarbon. Quick remedies may include but are not limited to: using a hydrocarbon of a lower molecular weight (methane or ethane or acetylene or Hydrogen) or increasing the supply of Oxygen to the combustion chamber. What you're looking for is a blue/purple flame so you know you have complete combustion.

I'm not attuned to the ways of rocket surgery but this is just my hunch! Anyways integza, cheers!

If you flare the end of the exhaust nozzle into a cone shape it should create a much larger area for the expansion of the gases to effect so it’ll create more thrust

Love it!! As far as producing more thrust, I'm pretty sure you need to adjust the size of your intakes (cross section) vs the size of the nozzle. I make alcohol "jet" stoves as a hobby, and I've made a few that produce thrust just for giggles. The ratio of the size of the intake/exhaust holes is part of the secret sauce that makes it go. Your engine design appears to be valve-less, so unless I'm mistaken getting the ratio right is pretty important because the back pressure is acting as the valve. The wrong ratio will mess up your cycle timing. I've made reed valves on my jet stove intakes using a little flap of aluminum; you might be able to do something similar? I also start with too small an intake and keep drilling bigger holes until I get the balance right. Hope this helps. Love the build!! Keep it up!

This channel is criminally underrated. Keep it up man you are awesome 🙂

Oh no... he’s obtained too much power. He’s playing with REAL FIRE, both with brazing and getting himself some rpms with a jet engine!

Also, that flame looks a bit red, which means it could be producing some carbon monoxide. Make sure your workshop is really REALLY well ventilated, as carbon monoxide poisoning is really dangerous!

I showed my mom the end of the video and she went into full mom mode - “WHERE IS HIS HELMET?!?”

The thrust issue might be due to solder getting into the fuel lines at the joints. Alternatively, it could be due to poor mixing between the fuel and air leading to incomplete combustion. It might be worth using a different injector-nozzle design than just squished tubes for better mixing.
