This video really encouraged me. I am going into my senior year as an EE and I haven’t yet decided what career I want to go in. I also am thinking about wanting to work for NASA but also had those feelings of not being good enough to work there. My goal now is to get my master’s after my bachelor’s so I can develop better engineering skills and become a better student. Your story has made me feel like this is possible and I will definitely take your tips with me. Thank you

Thank you Kat so much, I am a sophomore electrical engineering student and although I'm doing really good at uni I still feel that I'm not good-enough and I doubt my self occasionally for many reasons including rejection, and me not being able to accomplish my goals, and because I feel that I'm very slow in general. I try to remind my self that I'm still learning and that I will gradually be better and better, but I still don't like who I am currently.
thank you for sharing your experience it made me feel better to know that people who I look up to were one time in my position ;))

Hi Kat, I’m so glad you’re back!🤗
You’re such an inspiration for me! I’m currently 21 and I feel like I’m taking the same steps as you ( but in my case, the job that I’m doing is administration in a hospital ) they even gave me the opportunity to enable the creation of a new professional role, and if it goes well, they could hire more people that are currently unemployed 👌🏻🤗

This is very encouraging, I am in a CA community college right now hoping to transfer into UCLA for comp sci with a 3.87 gpa but I’m not sure what to do with that degree, my sister is in school with me as well and also wants to go to ucla and major in Aerospace as she wants to get into NASA. I was thinking of careers and I like how NASA would seem more interactive and fulfilling as a career for me as a Software engineer.

Hey Kat! just found your channel and I am absolutely loving it. It is hard to find an electrical engineering youtube channel, let alone one that is by a female. It is truly inspiring.
It is my dream to work at NASA and I am trying to build skills. Would you please do a video about what technical/personal projects you out on your resume that helped you gain these internships? I am currently a second-year electrical engineering student working to build a resume. Given that the projects I have worked on in class are not completely electrical engineering related, what kind of projects/skills/work experience did you put on your resume?

Hi! Thank you for this video! This is really helpful for me! I have been putting away applying for internships because I feel like I will not get any jobs. I am studying electrical engineering but focusing on power systems. It is nice to see someone else that has gone through what I'm currently going through. I hope to get a couple of internships I'm planning on applying too 🙏🤞

Hi Kat,

How important do you think GPA was to your resume?

I have a reasonably decent GPA and might retake a class to make that GPA quite a bit better in the summer. However I'm involved with quite a massive extracurricular(not career related) and love working on a bunch of personal projects and the self study that comes with it... Is it worth it to cut my self studies/personal projects out for a summer to make my GPA a little bit better in the short term?

Kat can you tell us more about how to go to conferences. They cost a lot of money and my community college does not offer help to pay I have emailed my department.

I haven't done EE, first year. Is there programming evolved in your internship?

More videos on day of a life of a grad student, an intern, a NASA employee. I don't have a window into this world.
