the key is really putting yourself out there, im still in college I started electrical engineering and its my first year, I had a trip to this place where they manufacture robots and it was a place where companies were selling their products I was talking to everyone I saw asking what the purpose of their machine/ component was for and how it would be used and such this older man asked me afterwards where I was from I told him I just started my course and Im interested in areospace engineering and more towards the space side, he gave me a card with his company name and told me if im still interested to reach out after im done with my course. my teacher that does the work placement for the course is gonna try and see if I could potentially have my work placement in a branch of that company.
So yh as long as you have genuine passion and are actively showing that passion even if its subtle it won't go unnoticed, no one knows what ur potential is if u dont show any off.
