For all of those just starting out, this is an excellent clip about an affordable DSO. One of the properties of this DSO (I won't call it a limitation) is that the input amplitude is limited to 30V. Now I'm just an old country Engineer, I'm older than dirt and I remember when fire was discovered according to my better half, but I recollect when I first started out, if your equipment was limited in some way, part of your job responsibilities were to design and implement circuitry that negated any such limitation. For example, a probe or addition to a probe that mapped input signals from 0V's to say 300V's to an acceptable 0V's to 30V's without any added (or negligible) distortion over the needed bandwith. I recollect having to do such things many times. I

Another good video, excellent for most people who are just getting started. For those who have the space and interest I might suggest getting an older analog scope like the techtronics he shows you.

I've got a digital oscilloscope here. It does a good job. I've got a Pro-640E Uniden CB radio here that has an audio transmit issue. The radio does actually transmit a signal, but it doesn't detect the voice input from the mic. I know the mic is good, because it is a brand new one. One day, I'll find the time to fix this radio.

I have 3 o-scopes including a Hantek just like the one in the video and I use it pretty much all the time and I have zero complants.

Ocenaudio software is available free for windows/mac and has signal generator functions and much more. and no advertising!

Awesome video I hope you make a video going through a vintage receiver from preamp to power output. If you used the 10X option on the probe I assume you could measure up to 350V instead of the 35V stamped on the unit.

do is still need an oscilloscope such as the Hantek DSO2D10?

Hi..this is nice and easy to understand video. Just some question, can these equipment use for Marantz receiver tuner alignment? And what another function that will help in repairing/recondition vintage audio such as amplifier, power and pre amp maybe?

Thank you so much for this wonderful channel! I am about to assemble a vintage Heathkit solid state amplifier (AA-21) and I think this would be ideal to have during that process and going forward. I have a few questions. When troubleshooting, would it be wise to use a multimeter to confirm the voltage across a given set of test points is under 35V prior to using the Hantek? Would using a resistor in series with the probe allow me to use the Hantek with higher voltages? Thanks again!

At the beginning you say to buy the 6022BL but later you show a screenshot of the 6022BE. Are they both good? Thanks for the great and helpful content.

Hi, and greetings from the U.K. I’m a bit of a newbie to this so please don’t think that this is a stupid question. Would this set up be useful for tube amps? I have several guitar tube amps that I wish to start servicing (just basic stuff to start).
Thank you.

ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS IN REAL LIFE APPLICATION. GET YOURSELF A DECENT RIGOL 1054Z. AN OLDER FUNCTION GENERATOR. A SIGNAL TRACER. AND A GOOD MULTIMETER.
