How good is a $12 signal generator?

Taking a look at a XR2206 High Precision Function Signal Generator DIY Kit. The kit is well made and kinda does exactly what it says it does. The frequency range is from 1Hz to 1Mhz and there is overlap between the selectable ranges so its easy to get to every frequency you need ... For the price definitely worth it and a nice kit for hobby electronics

My only complaint is it is difficult to dial in exact frequencies but given that the device is analog I think its pretty good.

I know this video is old, but could I use this device to increase the frequency of ac? I see this is used for speakers, but to me it looks like I could use this for said reason

FYI, the sound of the bag and paper rustling is louder than your voice and hurts my ears on headphones and speakers. Maybe use a directional mic further from ur hands for future intros on vids? Thanks again!
