Survivor's WILDEST Season

Survivor has had 44 seasons and essentially declared itself the king of reality TV. Whenever a show has that many seasons, some are bound to be better than others. Some of the ideas thrown out for some of the seasons were interesting, to say the least.

This was one of the best seasons to this day. It would honestly be refreshing and very telling if they did this same theme today.

CBS did it in an effort to diversify the cast, which they should have done anyway. I'm glad that the casts are typically more diverse at this point. But this was an experiment, as many seasons have been, and as the show itself has been.

Wouldn’t have been good tbh, even if they kept them separated by race they would have merged anyway half way through the season. this sort of concept doesn’t work for survivor, considering survivor is really only a team based game for the first half, and by the end there can only be one winner.

The good thing is, is that they did a tribe swap two episodes later

Let's remember that in order to make these tribes they had to have equal numbers of people from all 4 groups. Considering the issues with diversity in TV etc at the time this was at the very least a way to diversify. Probably would've been better to just cast a diverse group but hey, they tried.

Theme unfortunately shocking to hear, this season did have some of the best players to ever come out of the game.

At least in the opening episode Parvati questions if the race divide was kosher or not. That helped the audience confirm they were supposed to question the segregation. What would have been a PR disaster was if a white had won. It did kinda seem like the producers tried really hard to avoid that outcome such as creating Yul's invincibility idol that guaranteed him a spot in the finals.
