I have the 3.0 the only complain i have is when playing music it sometimes stop for milliseconds

Honestly they are likely close to the same in function and speed. But if you look at the specs the “chipset” as you put it is very different between 3.0 and 4.0. I just think if someone is going to claim a public review they should first understand the products they are reviewing.

I changed the delay in the setting to a lower value and it works perfectly and no youtube delay that is noticeable. I set it to 500 instead of the default 1000 on carlinkit 4.0

The better option for Android Auto is CarlinKit A2A(that one only transforms Android Auto wired to Android Auto wireless and nothing more, therefore is less complicated and faster), if your car supports Android Auto. The 4.0 is only usefull if your car only has CarPlay. The 4.0 emulates Android Auto, therefore it will have more lag than A2A for Android Auto.

hey, thanks for a straightforward video! I have the 2.0 and my biggest issue is this big delay, especially when I'm driving and using navigation. It's showing my car location with a BIG delay, which on occasion makes me miss turns, exits, etc. I feel like this has gotten worse with time...
Last couple of CarLinkit firmware updates also fail to work with my car (2021 Kia K5), rolling back to older version makes it work again...

I have a hard time understanding the difference. When you say that the 4.0 has wireless android auto what does that mean? To me all of them are wireless android auto devices. Like they all are just a replacement for the USB cable that you normally would have between your phone and the car no? CarlinKit themselves don't do a very good job at guiding the customer to the suitable product hehe.
