Heads up, someone reposted your video under the channel name “Carlinkit Carplay”. I could be confused but I felt like I should try to notify you.

Your reconnect time test is totally flawed. I have the same Jeep and the USB port retains power for 30 minutes after you shut off the vehicle. The Carlinkit never shut off in your test, therefore it appeared to reconnect immediately.

I bought the 3.0 in 2021. Loved it, it partially works...my wife's phone wont work with it anymore, so i just ordered one :) thanks dude!!!

For those complaining about connection issues with older models...check from time to time for firmware upgrades. I still use the 2.0 and the experience after upgrades it's improving dramatically.

Has the Carlinkit 5.0 builtin microphone? Does it work with android headunits?

That delay on the 4.0 and 5.0 is insane. I have the 3.0 Mini on my Toyota and it runs butter smooth.

Hi, thanks for the compression

Is there any advantage for 5 over 4 regarding the stability of the connection? the video already shows that the 5 have a slower booting connection (about as double)
is that only for the first boot? or on a daily base? also do i need to choose the Carlink 5 on the Bluetooth list every time i enter the car? as you said at the video or i missed understood it.
i have the 3 mini and i sent it back it was terrible after 5 min of use it was unusable due to major delays.

Thanks.

Do I have to use a specific usb plug or can I use any. It would be nice to not have to lay it in the wireless charger

I had hope you tested the the two devices with Android Auto and not just CarPlay. It would be interesting to see the effect on boot up time and performance between 4.0 having to convert protocols and 5.0 converting both Android Auto and carplay natively.

Hope you can help
I have a aftermarket radio ( Sony 9500 ES ) is built with auto car play wireless
I purchase the carlink plus and connected to the c connector on the head unit…. But the C connector is just a power supply cord, not a connection to the radio. So the radio doesn’t connect with the carlink I took it to the local sound store, they told me that I need a carlink that is wireless do you know any carlink that wireless can connect ?
Thanks

I read somewhere, that some of these devices, where using 2.4 Ghz, and many had 5 Ghz as well, and the newest one's out also use 5.8 Ghz. Unsure if having these options helps, speed wise, but overall many of these devices on the lower cost side 'can' have issues, albeit this CarlinKit is often one of the top performers.
