Mid-Elo Winged Hussars! Poles vs Lithuanians

Mid Elo is often overlooked and it's my goal to change that going forward. In this game I dove into Mid Elo game and talked about the importance of map control, army activity, and controlling the game. It shows the ability to come back in games at a mid level and how back and forth they can be! (This was recorded a month ago, apologies for the delays.)

Mid-elo: 1300 elo
Me: 1100 elo. Time to get out of the uninteresting mediocre valley by getting either dramatically better or dramatically worse...

I'd love to see more mid elo games! I don't feel like I learn anything from low elo legends games anymore. Since the beginning is always so disastrous, the only thing the viewer ever really learns is how to not start a game, plus a few things here and there.

With mid elo, you see decent players playing relatively well, and with a high elo caster to tell the viewer what's different between this and high elo, we can finally begin to see what makes a top player, a top player.

It's less "omg so funny, he doesn't have a Blacksmith at 50 mins", and more "interesting, if he had 2 more farms he would have an even more stable economy, and he doesn't need as many wood choppers." The whole thing about adding one too many TCs in this match and some missed opportunities, and how it could've been different with such small changes was just fascinating.

I definitely appreciate the mid-elo! I would love to see more. It's so much more instructive as this is a lot closer to my skill level than most the other posts.

The size of that throw by Blue hurts my soul. He had such a big lead to castle age and a simple 1 tc knight spam would have won him the game. Then he dies with 5k gold in the bank while spamming skirms against Obuchs... bloody hell

This is AMAZING!
I love low-elo legends because of the fun the game turns out to be on the eyes of someone who does not know much more than the basics.
This mid-elo taught me so much about the game! I actually feel I learnt something

I’m 1250 and my biggest takeaway from this game is how important it is to scout the enemy, and then continue scouting for the entire game. Blue never went back to reds base. And red was caught off guard by maa. It’s pretty important to know what your opponent is doing. Otherwise it turns into Rock Paper Scissors knight in the middle of the map in imp

I sit at 1100 and I for one am excited for this series. Because it is nice to have a second opinion on the mistakes or on more promising moves/strategies. I.e- 27:35 I have also accidently made a militia in castle/early imp, makes you wanna cry when you accidently quick click units in the barracks and an accident like that happens. I hope to learn from some of these games, maybe I can climb to 1300 ^_^

Man I'm close to 1300 and this was awesome to watch. I swear I lose EXACTLY like blue did all the time. Sitting back 3-4 tc thinking "aww yeah got this one in the bag, man at arms rekt him he wasted archers this is an easy win" then all the sudden I lose by playing too passive. Thanks for the insight!

It was so frustrating watching blue mass army at home and do nothing with it. Especially with the mobility of the knights.

Having played a post imp game as poles against French Paladin the pikes are super useful to add on strictly for the spam. You can't get enough obuchs out even with 5 castles.

Mid-ELO games are fun for mid-ELO successes and mid-ELO mistakes. It would be interesting to see more of this level. :) Also it's hard to believe that blue forgot to make paladin upgrade. He spent all his food on othre things and then just died with his treasury full of gold.
