The Power of Poles

The Poles were recently introduced to AoE2 and many people have had their doubts. Not over how fun or unique they are, but how strong they can be competitively. In this game we have the Poles vs the Lithuanians, a well established "strong" AoE2 civ. Let's see what happens!

Leitis absolutely OP, with 4 relics that's 16 + 5 at 21 attack. The fact that they ignore armor its absolutely brutal.

I always pair my leitis with halbs and I absolutely slap obuchs

As a Pole, I was shocked that unique Polish unit was an Obuch in our schools they do not even mention that a hammer was some kind of great main weapon for Polish history. Another shock is that hussars are mass light cavalry trash unit, when in fact it was heavy shock cavalry. I do not know how an elite royal unit created from the Polish nobility, known for winning battles where the opponent outnumbered them, could be turned into a trash unit. The obuch was of little historical importance, polish unique castle unit should be husarz/elite husarz(polish word for winged hussar) they messed up this civilization from a historical point of view. Now the ppl will play this game and think the poles have been known for massively sending cheap cavalry to their deaths, where it was the total opposite.

We've now seen the new civilizations both the Poles and Bohemians look busted on Arena. I would love to see a video of them against each other whilst utilising their strengths. (Obviously this also depends on finding a game like this is the first place)

Love the intro format in the video. It’s a change, But it’s pretty cool to have a quick explanation of what to expect. Map and Civ breakdown made it easier to understand the video.

Have you ever thought of having a stream archive channel? I usually only watch your youtube content but occasionally I will watch a VOD. However, Twitch VODs get auto-deleted after a while and I find the layout for the facebook video player to be unwatchable. Particularly with how it shoves the video into the bottom left corner of the screen without any borders separating it from the edges, and has a big, bright white comment section on the right side of the screen that can't be hidden.

I have great success in arena
with Poles. The FC+castle drop with their gold from stone is insane..
I also went against Lithuanians once and they were chewing me up like in this game until I added arbalest behind the Obuch. It was a different story then :P
