I 3d printed a full size skateboard using the Elegoo Neptune 4 plus. Are 3d printed skateboards viable?

Send it to braille skateboarding for their "you make it we skate it" series

You should look up wood working joints to make stronger joints

Now send it to Braille skateboarding so they can test it out 😅

If you made it have a post tension line going through the center it would be quit durable. 1/4 threaded rod has plenty of tensile strength

The blunted edges make it look snowboard like love it 🤟🏼

Possible improvements could be using a stronger joint, using gyroid infill instead of triangle infill, and making some channels through the entire thing so you can use some hardened steel rods for reinforcement (they'll help keep it springy and won't add too much weight). Off to a cool start though!

We all missed the part of you flying through the air on half pipe

Use clear grip tape on top! Maybe slap some cool stickers or a decal on first.
It looks dope :3

Now time to just perfect it, would love a 3d printed skateboard some day

You could try to make it thick enough for some thin metal rods to go from end to end to give it better support in the middle

Hi mate,
I wanted to suggest something that could take your creations to the next level.
Have you ever considered incorporating traditional Japanese woodworking techniques like tsugi joints for straight connections and shiguchi joints for angled connections into your prints?
I think it could add a unique touch to your designs while also making them more durable.
Just a thought!
Keep up the great work!

Lol honestly love it i love seeing prints find practical use instead of just being a cheap toy i just know tho this cant hand adult weight when landing i mean its possible i just feel like it'll separate on a pipe

I think if you were to print the those parts where it joins/connects into a type of "dove-tail" joint, that might make it more structurally sound :)

I'll also add to the discussion of joints being added, throw in a few pegs to hold it in place too

Suggestion: make a hole through where they connect makes it more sturdy as well

It's actually possible to weld those joints instead of glue, making it stronger (or both)... Using only a dremal and a small cone of the plastic... It's pretty slick. 😊

You can also add binders on the plastic fins so they spread less and hold stronger
