Every baker should have a good vanilla cookie recipe in their repetoire. Super soft and chewy, these sugar cookies are simple and easy to make!

Vanilla cookies in grams:

- 140 gr All Purpose Flour
- 100 gr unsalted Butter ( Use good quality butter, I use 82% fat butter)
- 120 gr White Sugar
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 tsp Salt ( NOTE: I like my sugar cookies a bit salty. If you don't want to taste the salt, add only 1/2 tsp of salt.)
- 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- Sprinkles/white chocolate optional

Bake these for exactly 10 minutes and once cooled store in an air tight container.

Literally JUST finished making these and I HIGHLY recommend you guys trying this recipe out. It's so simple, easy to follow, and you more than likely already have these ingredients sitting in your kitchen. They are soft, chewy, fluffy disks of heaven. I'm going to be making them more often! My husband and I had to fight over who gets to have the last one (I Won lol) p.s. I didnt put any toppings or anything, I just cooked it plain and its turned out scrumptious!

so i went into the description box for measurements and i saw grams and thought that this recipe was only in grams. so i went for like 20 minutes trying to find a converter website (that wasn't confusing) for grams to cups. then i scroll down and see "Vanilla Cookies in i am ashamed of myself.
Nonetheless the cookies are really good! i applaud you. may or may have not have made 40 of these in less than 24 hours xD

Hi I made these for my family yesterday!!!! They were delicious and tasted just as great the next day!! I did have to bake a little longer though 14 minutes but the end result was exactly like yours!! I'm going to make another batch today but add half a cup more of flour to the mix just because I want to see if I can get more great cookies with less butter in each lol!!! Going to compare each batch!!! This recipe made it into my recipe box!!! Lol!!!

UPDATE: Don’t try to add an extra half cup of flour to recipe. Dough will be crumbly and cookies will stay like a ball when cooked lol!! Keep it the way the recipe is written lol!!! Do delicious!!

For anyone curious or calorie counting they are around 110 calories per cookie if you make 16 😊
Edit: They are also DELICIOUS. A must if you like chewy cookie 😋

I'm a terrible baker and I messed up on a few parts but this recipe still turned out great! I made a marshmallow frosting to go on the top and my mom even asked me to make them for her birthday! Thank you!!

Best sugar cookies ever the ONLY recipe your ever need for chewy sugar cookies !! In my opinion
Here are some of my variations keep all other ingredients the exact same but add

For one batch : add lemon zest

Another batch: almond extract keep the vanilla

Another batch: add white chocolate chips

Another batch : coconut flavor keep vanilla
extract as well and some semi sweet or dark chocolate chips

Another batch almond extract with orange zest

I had to make half the batch this time the first batch I ate them all with a tall glass of milk binge watching Netflix watching Hawaii Five

They are just that good and listen to Emma bake only 10 mins and let them cool completely before eating, they finish setting up while they are cooling/cooled.

I pray for and thank God everyday for Emma I actually use to feel like I couldn’t make cookies from scratch every recipe was a dude until I found Emma’s channel.

Everything Emma makes is amazing. The dough came out really soft so I left the bowl of dough in the fridge to chill. Once the dough firmed up, I used a Tbsp to scoop out balls of dough onto cookie sheet, then put the sheet back in the fridge to chill a bit more. They came out perfect. So delicious and chewy. I was able to make about 16. Thanks for fixing my cookie cravings, Emma!
