A lot of people forget BB King’s pioneering, neo classical, metal guitar playing. Before his live at the regal concert, BB was donning spandex and permed hair WAY before Yngwie Malmsteen. However, he was so ahead of his time, that folks weren’t ready for it yet. That’s why he settled for a more laid back, blues style.

This had to be the best fake vid ever. I laughed so hard when I see him played, got me thinking that B.B King really did play Malmsteen's song for a few seconds then I realized that it's a really well made video. Kudos to the guitar player who made it possible.

In 1973., when I was just 15 years old, me and my best friend stood right in front of BB at the foot of the stage and watched him play beautifully for two solid hours. What made it extra special was at the end of the concert BB bent over and with a smile gave me the guitar pick he been playing with all night. It was bright red and had his name "BB King" embossed on it. I am ashamed to admit sometime later I lost the wallet in which I had been keeping the pick. Nevertheless, this video. brings back the memory of this great guitarist and the kindness he showed a skinny 15-year-old white boy who worshipped blues guitar. A genuinely nice man. One of the all-time greats.
