Really well acted and well written Crime B! Surprisingly good and fast-paced. The juke box phone is a revelation to me, very cool. Nice to see Neil Hamilton -such a long career and was such a professional and competent actor.

The best crime film noir I've seen in a long time. Good story with a nice twist. Wonderful acting.

Ok flawed but much fun. Every private eye from classic movies has to get bopper on the head at least once. Dick wessel, the henchman who the main character knocks out near the end, appeared in several 3 stooges shorts

These B pics are always fun to watch and in this case a whole lot is packed into 55 minutes. The leading lady is great to look at, too. Sadly, the male lead doesn't strike you as credible - but then neither does the script. Thanks for sharing, anyway!

With a title like "X Marks the Spot, " this sounds like it _should_ be a pirate movie; but it doesn't _look_ like a pirate movie.

There had _better be_ some major slappage in this to make up for the fact that there're no pirates searching for buried treasure!

I doubt there's even an "X" to mark the spot because according to Professor Henry Jones, Jr., "'X' never, _ever_ marks the spot." And Dr. Jones would _never_ like to us! =)

Funny seeing Neil Hamilton as a crook as he played romantic parts in earlier films and of course Commissioner Gordon in the Batman TV series toward the end of his career. Another odd casting here is Joe Kirk as a hoodlum. For those my age, he was seen as "Mr. Bacciagalupe" in many episodes of the Abbott & Costello tv show.
