But sadly out of reach price wise for probably 90/95% of the population.

That would be a perfect guitar for beginners but there's no no way a beginner has the money for such a piece of art or would want to invest in as a first guitar.

In Brazil we have a 10-string (5 pairs with each pair tuned equally) guitar called viola caipira (Brazilian folk guitar) usually tuned in open tunings that has a more beautiful sound than this one, and its been around for centuries!
