How to Fix Error Code P0306

Here's how to fix error code P0306, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305. In this video i go over what I did to repairs and solve the underlying issue, and things you shouldn't over look. I was having a Cylinder 6 Misfire in my 1998 Toyota 4Runner.

Thank you so much, two hours from home pulling my popup with my 99 4Runner… misfiring like crazy… pulled into auto parts store… swapped the coil packs didn’t do the trick, watched this video and went and swapped the spark plug wires… fixed it!! 🙌🏻 Saved me a lot of money!! Same thing happened to my 99 tacoma. Misfire exactly how you explained it! I first had a mechanic tell me it wasn’t my plugs or wires. Saw different mechanic for pressure test. Replaced coil packs, cleaned mass air flow sensor, replaced another electronic part around ($300). Finally a year later....a friend looked at it and said hey you have a bad wire. Replaced wires. Ran like a champ. My wife was over that damn truck sold it and bought my 4Runner!

TR4R, thank you for this helpful video. I searched P0306 code on YouTube and saw your post. This code came up on my 2009 Z06 Corvette with the same symptoms that you had on your off roader. I immediately drove to AutoZone for some spark plugs wires, replaced them and the issue was solved. I’m sorry that you had to go through the sorted affair of replacing a myriad of parts. I’m grateful for people that help their fellow motoring enthusiasts. Thank you.

My issue has been something else, which the dealer I took it to could not figure out for a long time. Compression and leak down tests were OK, they said. It is a defect that shows up in the cylinder wall near the top of the cylinder. It does not really look like a crack (in the photo I was given), but more like porosity. Apparently enough coolant gets sucked in to cause the misfire. New engine coming up. Lucky I bought that extended warranty, eh? This defect showed up at 7 years and 62, 000 miles on a 2017 Pacifica. Chrysler knows of it, many mechanics have seen it, but no service bulletin.😂

My 04 is giving me a headache. Has been running weird for 2 years and no one could figure it out. Finally ran a p306 the other day and I'm sitting here trying to figure it out, so I can put my husband to work of course. Please please dont be head gasket leak 🤞🤞

I'm facing the same with my old Town Car, however the engine is running smooth and I don't feel loss of power. I changed the plug, coil pack and fuel injector. I even added a head gasket leak stopper, although there's no loss in coolant. The code still appears every now and then, which means only one thing: a bad wire or connector. I can guess by looking at their condition.

My 04 4runner comes up with 304 : cyl 6 misfire. swapped coil with cyl one, Still comes up with cyl. 6 misfire. I will now check wires & report back.

I have the same issue with my 1999 Toyota 4runner SR5. I had a local home based mechanic recommended by O'reilly. He supposedly changed out all 6 Sparkplugs, wires, coil, & Massair flow sensor. The car ran the same after, , engine light on with cylinder #6, then #1, then 6 & #3 showing a misfire. This mechanic offered to recheck his work but wouldn't get back or answer me. O'reilly told me he wanted to buy my car (?!) I have gone to 4 other mechanics, pd for diagnostic tests & all say something different, just say sorry, can't find issue, or was two worn hoses preventing air (?) then last one Compresion or something else. I have been in this situation since late Aug. Sometimes I drive my car or not just to get to work. What the Hell is going on with this industry?!! I may try some possible fixes myself & I know nothing about car mechanics. Ahh, what to do? 😒😪

I have a Chevy S10 and and I've had it for a couple months now and we're launched now and for some reason it's giving me the same problem that P0306 misfire I have done everything that I could think of and yet it's still the same problem if somebody read this can somebody give me an opinion or something because I'm tired I can't keep putting money into a truck and it's the same issue
