California Homeless Crisis: RV community relocates near San Francisco Zoo | KTVU

After city officials in San Francisco asked them to move, an RV community that had been located on Winston Drive has relocated.

The community has set up a little more than a mile away from their previous site. The new site, near the San Francisco Zoo, poses new challenges for the community.

Public streets are not campgrounds - no camping on public streets - period - ask them to move and if they won't tow and impound them

I went to SF state and worked at Stonestown Mall. For years, I have watched RV dwellers litter, empty their septic tanks, place cones in the traffic lanes because their vehicles jut out too far. they can’t be surprised that people are upset with them being there…

it is nice to see Americans down on their luck being treated like Americans it sure would be nice if the city would put in some restrooms and put out some dumpsters for they could put their trash in them some shower rooms would be wonderful as well and maybe a water spigot for they could get water out of for cooking and stuff some park benches to eat their meals on would be a good thing these are some hard hard times we are living in we need to do are best and make sure Americans are taken care of who cares if we have to pay a little more in taxes if we are helping out are fellow Americans the same god that made them made you wishing everyone the best.

A lot of these folks need to learn how to “stealth camp.” But instead, they want to be lumped up together. Most of these folks actually work in The City, but then there’s the portion that are the druggy transients that mix in with these folks and make it bad for the rest of them.

They should soon ban RVs to park anywhere unless it is your own front yard.
