Katara has more power than Kuvira. Katara’s greatest power feats are creating gigantic waves that can knock fire navy ships off balance, creating smoke screens that cover TWO fire navy ships, and using bloodbending on her first try. Also defense also goes to Katara. Her ice shields are durable enough to withstand falling off of cliffs and bouncing off of them (as seen in katara and the pirates silver comic which takes place in season 2 mind you) able to defend against both zuko and Azula for a short period of time, also the Octopus form allows her 360 offense AND defense, speed is also questionable considering Katara was able to outrun Aang in the painted lady episode for a while, and her reaction speed is godly, able to outdraw azula’s combat speed, and able to react quickly enough to defend herself against Sozin’s amped lightning with a water shield (also from azula).

Katara with her water pouch and not using her sub bending (bloodbending) cannot win against Kuvira having both Earth Bending and her Sub bending (metalbending) being used on this fight. Not fair right? kuvira will win for sure 😂😂😂 However, Katara on the river/sea will surely dominates her. 😂😂😂😂

TLDR: Very close, but Katara's versatility & power gives her a few more options, but Kuvira landing just 1-2 good hits could give her the win. Katara is defensive enough to block most things though, Katara wins extreme difficulty.

Katara will be able to either slowly accumulate enough water for Kuvira to just mot be able to defend, but Kuvira's skill and spedd will take Katara most early matches before she can do much. Katara wins, but it's 5.5/10 matches/extreme difficulty.

I love Katara but Kuvira is just objectively winning this I think, her bending style is so opressive and the second she gets a single metal band on katara then she can ragdoll her all day.

whatever the categories there said, when they fight each other, kuvira can't even touch katara. katara with bloodbending vs kuvira's with her metalbending really is nothing. even without her bloodbending, katara's waterbending is just so powerful. with a lot of water source, kuvira once again is nothing.

I think katara wins this. Bruh if azula could beat Kuvira then katara would have no problem beating her. She is a master water bender and her defense and skills with water bending is much more than Kuvira could deal with. I don’t think her metal bending would help her against kataras water bending

first off power should not go to both. both could win but i'd favor katara more cause she more powerful more versatile, more skilled and has shown to be able to keep up with and fight ppl who are faster than her which is basically kuviras whole thing: being faster than her opponent. kataras offense, defense and waterbending enhanced mobility would be a good counter for kuvira bobbing, weaving and speed as she can just throw in some waves and ice spikes and stuff. and the thing is kuvira doesn't often stone wall attacks but instead just tries to dodge them or redirect them which will be hard with katara as she is pretty smart and actually fairly fast with her attacks. she is also very precise and she would eventually take the fight. however i can see an argument for kuvira winning this

The problem with these scaling video is that most of the matchups mainly depends on the environmental conditions . If it is set in a place at desert, the water-benders are virtually useless unless blood bending is involved. There are also conditions like if it occurs at day, night, in a cave, in a cold or warm areas and areas abundant with water. All of these can favour each type of benders in many ways.

Bending power isn't a tie, Katara has created waves large enough to drown a factory and casually push massive ships, Kuvira's bending is more about precision, she doesn't have the same bending power Katara does.

Speed goes to Katara as well. While Kuvira might have the flashy/fancy movements, Katara has better speed feats. She has reacted to and dodged Azula's lightning blasts multiple times.

Katara's skill, bending power and versatility gives her an easy win here. What's stopping her from immobilizing Kuvira with ice the same way she did Azula?

Pathetic match-up! Giving too much advantages for kuvira. Give them an equal large source of there bending element not just a water pouch for Katara, trust me Katara will dominates this metal bender lady. Kuvira won high diff when katara having her water pouch. Creators commented already on one of my comments that on this fight Katara has limited source of Water and Bloodbending isn't included on this fight. We can all assume that Katara was just using her water pouch so Kuvira wins for sure. 🤡😂😂
