We saw many incredible performances this year, for example a new world record over the marathon to multiple world records on the track. Like the two mile record from Jakon Ingebrigtsen and multiple world records from Faith Kipyegon. However in my opinion one of the most anticipated races of the year was the 1500m world championship race in Budapest. Was Jakob going to take the double this year in the 5000m and 1500m? After such a dominant season where he did not lose a single race! It turned out to be a phenomenal race! There were many competitors though, like Reynold Cheruiyot (world junior champion), Abel Kipsang and Josh Kerr for example. However the former world Champion Jake Wightman was missing.
