It would be great if Yared Nuguse wins this mile race after all the hype but the race that really matters is the Olympic 1500m final in Paris.

I will be amazed, absolutely amazed if both of these guys actually turn up. We get these build ups all the time but then someone always pulls out. Let's hope we actually see it.

I think Jacob needs another 3-4 months to come close to being competitive. Too soon after achilles problem and rehab of it. I'd love to see a close race, but I'm not sure Jacob will even be top 3. He needs this race as part of his recovery trajectory. In that light, It'll be very interesting to watch his progress.

You forgot about Jake Weightman, who beat IIngebrigtsen in the 2022 World Championships in almost identical fashion

AFAIK, Ingebritsen was sick at the Worlds, still managed to get Silver Medal. So, if he will be hopefully healthy at the Olympics, he will absolutely demolish the competition and shut up once and for all the haters.

Both of these guys could both learn from George Foreman. By his own admission, Foreman was mean and filled with hate when he was young, but since he's gotten older, he's become a master of self-deprecating humor in addition to being one of the best heavyweights of all time. As a result, he's now one of the most loved sports figures of our modern day, a guy who's impossible not to like... If I am either one of these guys and I lose the race, there is much to be admired in saying that the other guy was just better than me today and that he's obviously been really improving through his training and will be a force to deal with for years to come. Doing that would actually garner more support for you, not less, and would inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

just focusing on kerr and Ingerbrigtsen for a minute. We don't know where the Norwegian is at but we know Kerr is in a great place soo...I go with Kerr, especially as he seems to have developed more endurance strength in the last few months. I'm excited and looking forward to seeing the full line up. Golden age of middle distance and lots of spice!

Kerr is better now than when he last beat Jakob. It would be awesome if Yared could win the Bowerman mile!

I would be stunned if Jacob wins it. It would demonstrate an incredible level of dominance to go from training and race simulation to then beat the best in the world, who are peaking and super, race fit.
