When reading this it can seem unsettling. But I’ve come to realize, especially after reading Job, that God does do what He wants for fulfilling a perfect will. I shouldn’t allow the society I grew up in make me feel like what He does is unfair or not right. It’s His world. Who defines or decides what is right other than He? Thank you for this. I hold onto the truth that He is God! I find comfort in knowing that he sees and knows things I don't. There are thing's he allows us to go through in order for his will to be set forth. Who am I to question or stand in his way.

This is a maturity building message. I think church leaders forget about this truth. God hears our prayers, the Spirit and Jesus advocate, but in the end, God will have mercy on whom he chooses. Thank you Jared for the video, thank you God for the word.

That point of God is God and there will be things I don’t understand was reiterated earlier this week in my personal study. The Scripture that countered my doubts and questions, was Isaiah 40. It was a biblical smackdown lol

God bless you for bringing this messages years back I didn't understand the Bible and if I repented slowly I started reading it asking God to give me wisdom today day I understand it I love reading the Bible I read it everyday I pray everyday I will take charge but it's sadly to say that sometimes bad things happen. I don't know why, but I feel like crying as I was listening to you share your confusion and desire to know God more... but at the end of it all, I am just in awe of the God of the Bible, it makes me fear Him and love Him at the same time. And I am trying to understand Romans 9... there are things I accept can't be explained.. all I know is God is good and His wisdom is infinite and I could only bow before His greatness and perfection!

I've been in church my whole life, but never really got into a good habit of reading my Bible. Until one Jan 1 2015. From then until July 2017 I read multiple chapters every day. I read through the Bible 3 times (3 different versions). It was that day in July 2017 where reading that "God hated Esau" that I really struggled, and I quit my daily reading and praying, yet I continued to go to church every week. I made a commitment that this New Years it was time to pick up the word again and start praying daily. Please keep me in your prayers as I do this. But no matter how many times I read this, I still don't understand why the Bible would even make that comment that "God hated Esau." Can you please give me your perspective?
