Just got my lone peak 5's a definite improvement over my past lone peaks; i don't run due to health reasons but these are my daily wear a thumbs up to altra.

Can always count on Connor to drop the Altra news. An Ego midsole in the Lone Peak is music to my ears :D

Love love love hearing EGO midsole getting on the Lone Peak's! Had the original Escalante's and ran through about 3 pairs of them, such a great midsole! Never ran in the 4.5's but still holding strong on the 4's, have about 500 miles on them, hope the EGO midsole can hold up better than the 4.0's

LP 4.5 is the second popular for Thai trail runners ( No 1. is Hoka One One SG 4) ....Just wonder if the LP 5.0 might take the first position here in 2021 or not?

Can you tell a little more about those other models in the background there? ;-)

I’ve been doing well with the 4.0 on last three pairs. But with my 4th pair I could only get the waterproof style. It felt as though it was cutting across the top of my foot and ended up with blisters and three lost toenails. I had also tried the 4.5 but had the problem with the issue with the heel rubbing. Is the 5.0 going to offer the Breathable upper and less angle on the heel?

Can you tell me anything about the size? I‘m using the Superior 3.5 and 4.0 and Escalante 2.0 in Size 10.5. Is the Lone Peak 5 smaller or the same size.

I’ve liked a lot of the updates Altra has made over the last few years EXCEPT they seem to be getting more narrow and tight. Which has been the number one deciding factor in NOT buying them. Huge bummer. Hopefully these will be back to the original fit while keeping the other updates.
