Juliet, Thank you for the instructions for the face masks. I’m a bit late tackling this job but as of Sunday 31 January this is the first time we in Western Australia have been locked down and have to wear masks if outside. We’ve been very fortunate compared to the rest of the world and I really feel for you in the UK. I’ve enjoyed making the masks for my family and friends. Thanks so much! had been making another mask with a wire. This is so much more comfortable! I added a layer of interfacing to the inside to keep from sucking cloth.

How many different mask patterns do we need? I have three different styles I use. Definitely going to be making a few of this pattern, so I now have four different patterns I make for myself and my community.

I mostly use scrap fabric leftover from other projects. But I find it easier to just buy on sale to cut several layers at once.

This style looks nice for adding embellishments like buttons and decorative stitches - if not needing to make large quantities.

I love that I have finally found a mask that will work. I have to put makeup on when I go out. If not I'm so fair skin, I feel I need extra color. I also like to wear lipstick. But since we have had to wear these stupid masks, i dont go out much. I only go out for doctor appointments, because like you my makeup and lipstick would smear. I'm going to try this. I live in the USA. I have measuring tapes with inches and cm. So i won't have any problem with that. And yes i took a screenshot.
