I am a Polish holocaust survivor and have lived in America since I was five. I've visited Negros Oriental for 6 weeks, then 3 1/2 months and this year I will leave America in November to be in your land for four months. My connection to your land your people and now your tutelage makes me understand that I am more Filipino than American. Thank you professor

DIYOS ko po ! Ngayon ko lang nalaman kung sino at ano ba talaga ang Pilipino. He's such a TREASURE to us Filipinos. Salamat DIYOS ko, to GOD be the glory for this knowledge of who really I am.

This professor needs to be celebrated and elevated. His take on Filipino culture made a lot of sense to me. The idea of Kapwa and highly relational characterization of Filipino psyche unlocked a deeper understanding of why we do what we do. Why we welcome even strangers into our homes and help others who are in need even though we have problems of our own. I am proud to be a part of this culture. It must be preserved and celebrated.

This is what a former student of mine observed when he went overseas to work. He noted that only in the Philippines can people of different social status can drink/tagay together and have genuine camaraderie.

Wow, this is one of the smartest humans I’ve ever heard speak. I’m English only and he speaks so fast and eloquently. I pray he lives long and is able to teach Filipino culture in the U.S. universities and high schools. Sana po. God Bless,

This video should be shared nationally, so we Filipinos, especially our youth dont forget what we are, who we are and what we can do as a nation. Long live the Filipinos!

I'm an American who moved from Calif. USA to Cebu in 2010. Another trait of Filipinos they can be proud of is how friendly and welcoming they are. Also home and family are important here. In America women don't want to be housewives and mommies. Like many American guys I found a sweet traditional wife here. In welcoming remember just before WW2 when Manuel Quezon relaxed immigration policy to allow more than 1, 000 Jews to escape Nazi Germany, he is truly one of the great men of history. After that the 'White Russians' (opposed Communism) were welcomed.

This is the culture / tradition I've grown to and was raised. I noticed we are losing it slowly. Hope that we share this to our new generation so we preserve this wonderful culture. I'm proud being a Filipino.
