17 is old enough to decide your own haircut. This mom is way over the line. Maybe the kid misunderstood, but he was given a warning and still agreed. If he didn't like how it turned out it'll grow back. It's a learning experience for him. Unbelievable the mom freaked out like that.

10 years as a business owner, he handled this perfectly because every time somebody with alot of hair asks for a number 2 or 3 on top I double check 3-4 times

I think some people assume a number 2 means it leaves 2 inches of hair, that's why it's best to show your barber a reference photo of the haircut you want

If it's not an emergency, 911 needs to hang up on them with a warning to be charged if they call back without a legit emergency.

No charges filed? That's improper use of emergency services. That's at LEAST a fine or even jail time, I believe!

I wonder if installing a camera at the barber's station or wearing one to be turned on ONLY while discussing the cut/style wanted by the customer would easily solve such complaints? That was beyond ridiculous!

Im a hairstylist. All she wanted was it to be FREE! When they complain like that 99% of the time they just want a free service

What's even crazier about this woman's actions is that he explained the kid never said anything about not liking the haircut during or after, so more than likely, this Karen Wacko's kid isn't even the one that's upset!

17 years old and his mommy has to come? I'm sure he is so embarrassed and he'll be laughed at school. He may even have to leave school and run away. May be the end of their relationship.
Kid was happy and even left a tip.
Mother should have been fined for non-emergency call.
