I remember very distinctly as a 13 year old my older cousin invited me over to his house after DSOTM debuted and he played the entire vinyl record on his fancy new Marantz receiver, TEAC turntable and Bose pedestal speakers. We sat on the couch in the basement and listened for 45 minutes with the two speakers cranked and facing us. Never heard anything remotely like it at the time. I think the back of our heads exploded…🙏👏👌

I can vividly remember the first time I heard the album. A dear friend of mine said to me, "Come here, have a seat and listen to this, " and he gave me a pair of headphones. It was, uh, jaw-dropping. A record that changes lives, and it still does today, I guess.
