What do you do when you live far apart from your child/children?

Maintaining a meaningful relationship with a child can be difficult, be it can be done, and it can be done well.

Try to video call her every few days, always am praying for her safety, and working on myself to be the best version of me an trying to get financially independence is about all we can do I feel.

I remember the last time I got to talk to my son, face to face. But I don't know how how many years it has been since that time. He doesn't remember how we used to be.
The idea that some day I'll get to be a positive part of his life is basically all that is keeping some people still breathing.
How will he know my side if he never gets to see it. Long story short, California courts, will make or break a human.

Lots of good information here. I have primary parenting in Canada and my ex moved to America. Instead of her working with me and doing what's best for our son she only thinks him living with her is the best thing and things are always crazy... Constant bashing me to our son on the phone and always trying to drag me back to court... She definitely does not do anything to make our co parenting relationship any better. She always pours gas on it..
