Thanks for the review, just ordered one. You assembled the base upside down. The base has a detent that you can see in 0:43, the sharpener should be inserted into this detent and seats flush with the base.

Nice to hear your take on this system. I have been using mine for a few months still amazed at the results obtained.
Few quick points....the system is compatible with all edge pro format stones in 6" but to me the biggest advantage is the ability to use 8x3 waterstones ...cuts sharpening time easily in half.
Again thank you for a informative video.

I have the blitz 360 and it gets my pocket knives extremely sharp with minimal effort. I hesitated for a long time on buying a K03 because I don't sharpen any big knives. But once I saw the blitz I just knew it was going to retire my kme. BTW the blitz does come with diamond stones.

I have been freehand sharpening for over 40 years and have never seen the practicality of a huge piece hardware that you have to fiddle with and store. All pro-chiefs I know have learned to hand sharpen. Still love your channel.

Amortization is also used in Polish and i suspect in Russian to describe distributing force of an impact over a larger area/distance/time; cushioning.

Every man should have one

Well, my price guess at the beginning of the video was correct. Clearly I am not in the target market for this, but thanks for your comprehensive review.

I have the blitz 360, you can make a butter knife single pass shaving sharp in about 8 minutes once you get the hang of it. It really is a great tool even for the novice, because it is built to last a lifetime

One that is a bit less expensive is the KME Sharpener. The only drawback to the KME is that it doesn't work well for large knives, but for most knives it is superb! The TSProf is essentially a larger, industrial-grade KME.

Great review! Spot on in terms of "Who should buy the system" much appreciated.

I have this sharpener. Its a fantastic piece of equipment. You mention diamond stones. Venev makes great diamond stones for this. I enjoy my venev stones in 100% concentration and recommend them. Take the blades to 8k then strop with jende strops and diamond emulsion. You get an incredible edge. Thanks for doing the review. Enjoy that beastly sharpener.

I bought the “Ketiped” knife sharpener. I received it yesterday from Amazon and it was about $129.00.
I couldn’t believe how heavy the box was when I picked it up. This thing is built like a tank and does everything I need. I really was surprised at the quality of it. I think it probably came from the land of the rising sun. Well maybe that really wasn’t where it came from but the instructions made me think that. They usually make quality items these days.
All in all, I am pleased as punch and believe I got more for my money than usual.

I have a Tormek but it’s in the garage. Winter time no fun in my garage. This is therapy. 😂

Thanks for the review. I have always been obsessed with sharp knives and have, over the years owned about every sharpening system known to man. You are correct with respect to the price, but in this case, you get what you pay for. I think we can credit EdgePro's Ben Dale for his setting the standard on stones... these days there are hundreds of stones available that fit the K03 and other similar sharpeners (Gritomatic, being one). I can tell you this, once you use this thing, there is no going back... it is hands down the best. And, while the engineering is near equal to the K03, I would pass on the Blitz... it's just to small and restrictive. My one suggestion to TSProf is to offer a quality scissor clamp or jig as their small universal table falls short of allowing precision work on salon shears or anything fine. PS... I see several comments on the movement... mine is clamped to my bench and is rock solid (zero movement).

For a real dull or new blade I like using my 2x72 and a 2500 grit belt. Followed with a good strop and it’s shaving sharp. A touch up sharpening, a paper wheel then a strop seems to work quite well.

Here in Russia, i purchased this sharp system last year about 350 bucks. But my sharpener has one awesome option it's upgrade slip bushing lift, plus 10 degrees to these 23 degrees.

Every time I see one of these Alfred E Newman devices I am thankful to my father who taught me how to sharpen knives, chisels, axes, chainsaws, etc freehand and achieve excellent results.

I got a simpler, but similar system from Wasabi Knives. the Iki Ruixin Pro. Works fine for me.

8:58 into the review you have a pocket knife in the clamps... The K03 really can't do pocket knives due to the hardware in the center of the rail. The clamps are too far apart. Glad the Blitz 360 can handle smaller blades. Thanks for the video.
