I'm super noob on this topic, I purchased a Lansky sharpener kit for my leatherman wingman but their video said to not move the stone back and forth, just move it against the blade. Their sharpener kit looks very very similar to the one in this review I wonder what technique is the correct one.

This is the best advertisement for the Sharpmaker that I've ever seen.

I think I literally count down the days until a new video. In the meantime, I watch all of the old ones over and over, before even going to see new stuff from guys who I need to catch up with on lol. I love your content and have for the last 3 years or more. I’m glad you never burned out, making videos at this level of quality. You and Cedric and ada are my nick shabazz… I said it. I love you dearly in a very unromantic and platonic, not creepy admirer over the internet because of your content kinda way.

I got, at far as I know, the first tsprof in the US back in 2014 or 2015. I had to go out of my way to order venev (vid) stones before anyone talked about them. The tsprof came in a green wooden ammo box with Russian writing on it, haha. I sang its praises where I could. Mine is still going strong, stones included. I did get mine for half off which at the time was $150. The guys at tsprof couldn't speak English so everything was done over email using Google translate for all of us. After using it for awhile I got them to send a free unit to Jim Ankerson and then Wranglerstar. They then made a package named after wranglerstar. The new units seem more refined and I'm glad to see them inching more into this market. The original one seems like it's more precise and can handle longer knives but takes up a LOT of room.

I enjoy your candor and humor. I'm in super soak up information mode right now and a total beginner. Thanks for this video; keep up the good work.

Easily the most realistic and honest knife sharpening video I've ever seen. Then throw in some hilarious, witty lines and this gets a gold star, Bro.

I've only recently started my self-imposed hellpath into sharpening and let's just say my neighbors are now convinced I have someone trapped in the house and verbally berate them regularly. Hope you also do a video on the Work Sharp because that's the one I recently bought; seems to be a good system but all I can say is starting with shitty kitchen knives with mystery steels to learn on it was dumber than when I told my bosses wife at a cookout that she was hot enough to spread butter on.

The amount of brutal honesty and how real you are in reviews got me to sub. Keep up the good work of representing the common man.

Thanks bro! What looks like boredom and frustration gradually evolves into absorption and meditation.

Finally! An honest real world review of a knife sharpening system. I can never get these damn things to work! Lol
It dosen't matter how many videos I watch or how many times I read the instructions I just can't get it right.

It was nice to see that Endura again. Of course the video was awesome. That almost goes without saying, but I'll say it just in case. I appreciate how you manage to strip away the pretense and ridiculousness and present things in such an appealing way. I definitely relived some frustration watching this and had a good laugh.

this is a great video commenting on the struggles of trying to learn how to sharpen. I really wish this video was around when i was first trying to learn how to sharpen. it's a good intro with a survey of the types of challenges a noob will encounter, along with references to some quality youtube sharpeners.
