This is the most basic of basic tutorials to teach someone who knows nothing about music production to getting sounds out of their speakers. There is a vast amount of information to cover that would take a lifetime, but every journey has to start somewhere!

If you're new and you like this format, please comment and like the video

This is a great intro video for bitwig, I like the features you covered. One bit of feedback though is that if you increased the UI scaling factor (to say, 125%), it would make things a lot clearer to see, especially for folks that are new to this DAW. I found myself squinting at times to see what you were doing.

Absolutely incredible. Couldn't Imagine a better 30m introduction. As a beginner I've found a lot of DAWs I've tried are very unintuitive to use, but this seems to have a really straightforward UI. Can't wait to try it.

After a few years complaining about Live, I finally made the switch, now I have to watch all of your videos !

Oh guy, you're great. Easy like Sunday morning. There is just much here, I've already bought the tool, now for a lifetime of experiments and building. I'm already up and running, I'm going to rewatch this dozens of times for months to come. Thanks ~

This is one of the best "getting started with..." videos I've seen on any subject. Some very basic information to get you going, some more advanced bits to whet your appetite to look deeper - using chaos for randomise velocity on the hats is golden - and a bit of a following along project so you get to the end feeling you've achieved something worth saving and looking at again later. Perfect!

For myself I'm a long time user of Live but have had a few years hiatus from music and need to relearn a lot of it. Bitwig seems so much quicker than Live in workflow and it feels more like the whole program is an instrument to experiment - That's probably a bit unfair on Live - but I feel like I'll quickly achieve a lot more in Bitwig than I will in Live. For not much more than the cost of upgrading from 10 Suite to 12 Suite I can get a license for Studio so that's what I'll be doing.

Thanks again for the great intro video - needless to say I've subscribed to the channel.

As a long-time user of Logic Pro, I have never gotten as far as I have done with other alternative DAWs as I have done with Bitwig, its just so much more intuitive (without the Manual) I’ve found than say Ableton was! As much as I still like Logic, I can still find it confusing at times and I get tired of its approach to things. It was Venus Theory (Cameron’s channel) where I first encountered Bitwig and gotten me curious!

I appreciate your efforts in helping me understand this refreshing DAW! Thanks 👍

I need to learn how to map midi from the Drum Machine to different keys on my drumset. Do you have a video on that?

Very helpful. Thank you. Will look at all your Bitwig videos over the next week. Out of all the DAWs I've tried Bitwig right away worked with my Akai MPK mini and also has support for my NI Maschine MK3, Arturia Keylab Essential and Akai MPC Live 2. Pretty amazing!

Brilliant. I've just came over from Ableton that I've not long ago grasped after using Cubase 20 years ago.
I love Ableton, but Bitwig looked so cool as well.
I just had to try it out.
Also it was cheaper than upgrading from Ableton standard to the next jump up at £400.
I didn't want the hassle of learning the basics again so this video was perfect for me.
I certainly don't regret buying Bitwig.
The possibilities are endless.
I did a modular sounds last night and my Trax is well on the way.
Your other videos will be very much appreciated as I am certainly no Wizz kid at sound design, by far.
Many thanks 😊
