I saw the Elizabeth 1 Armada portrait in the Queen's house, Greenwich 2 weeks ago. Nice to hear about it.

I understand that those segments were filmed 15 - 20 years ago. But I am astonished how low the gifts from the Tzar and other kings were valued. A few thousand pound for jewels most likely to have been produced by Faberge? Considering the history of these pieces I would have thought that their value is much higher.

The British is so unflappable they just remain calm and just so poised no matter what you tell them

The plate contains the arms of Hanover, so it is pre Queen Victoria.

I was amazed by the claim that the Grainger porcelain includes a picture of Buckingham Palace. I think the picture is of Wren’s Hampton Court building.

The first plate can't be Queen Victoria since it shows the Royal Arms including Hannover. As a woman, Queen Victoria couldn't inherit Hannover.

Those were the days when the visitors to the Antiques Road Show and their antiques were classy, and it wasn't the Fiona Bruce show !

Love seeing the military men protecting their piece. But hearing its valuation at 750, 000 pounds you can understand why

5:00 You can tell those kids are so done and bored and they just want to go home. Who knows how many hours they had to stand around just to get two books appraised.

Я к сожалению не поняла, что сказал эксперт - Дамме которая принесла изделия Русских ювелиров Иванова и Жаберже, но по ее реакции видно, что он озвучил довольно высокую цену ??? Подскажите, интересно

The royal family of Russia came to an unfortunate end - the most English comment ;-)

Just as well there are plenty of people who don’t want only the “classy” - whatever that means. Sad that so many feel in a position to be judgemental. Almost on a par with “begrudgery”.

How do your middle class mum and pops end up with expensive paintings and Victorian era plates?
