Building trust with wild lizard aka alligator lizard 🦎

Gonna be tough. I’ve had one as a pet for over two years now and still gets pretty skiddish sometimes. Not as bad as when I got her, but the wild bred ones are not the best to train. They make good pets both indoors and out, as they eat a lot of bugs, and inside they can eat anything you give them, and also just look cool. They don’t need a whole lot of space, 30 gallon tank works well for most, but a 40 is much better.

My own alligator lizards don't trust me and they were raised from wild hatchlings.
They've hardly seen anything other than me, my dog, my mom, and their food.
They're harder to care for now that their bite can draw blood.

My cat brought me one yesterday and he dropped his tail but otherwise was fine. He lets me hold him and I think he likes me. Didn’t take long for him to trust me

He's actually a skink, he looks really similar to a blue tounged skink

Yeah I saw one crawling around near my house in so me and my friends caught and measured it, it was about 1 foot long or 12 in Btw this was tofay

I found a beautiful, complete alligator lizard skin and can't find anything close to seeing a way to preserve it! I want to send it to my grandson! Any ideas guys? His b-day is near labor day! Help me! Help me!😁
