the more interesting thing is the ecoboost takes about 3-4K to get to 550-600 hp the chevy takes about 15K to make that

Ive worked at Ford and Chevy dealerships. Ive been reading the comments this uploader has been claiming. I will call him out. The 2015 style Ford f150s are actually not that much lighter than the Silverados, Ford reinvested the weight in the frame and other components. I also noticed the M/t tires on the F150 which increases mass. I love Chevys, but there is no denying a tuned 3.5 or even a 2.7 ecoboosts will give the silverado 6.2 a run for its money, even at stock tunes. Especially if the F150 had the newer 10 speed transmission, this gen F150 likely has a 6 speed still. The uploader claims stocks tunes, but by the sound of the exhaust, I can bet some slight modifications at best. Im an not a Ford or Chevy Fan Boy, I am simply calling out the uploader's claims and comments. Also, Ive seen ecoboosts make much more power and be very reliable, unlike the "truck blew up and motor had to be changed" claims they have been giving.

Curious if the Ford didn’t blend his E right. These trucks are running low 12 high 11s on E, at least with 5 Star Tuning.

I’ve driven both. F150 felt like it had way more balls. The Chevy was very slow and had no balls. Based off the sound of this Chevy, he’s not stock.

Biggest problem is the ecoboost is on what looks like 35s. An e50 tune only 3.5 ecoboost with the 10 speed will run 11.9s on stock wheels and tires. Where they really shine is with a good 4wd boost launch

Yeah got a f150 3.5 and get most power at 2200 to 2500 no down shift not getting on her. Massive pull without down shift at those numbers. 1st 2nd 3gear useless. Can’t run from a stop 30 or above.

The 6.2 is such a cool engine. I have a 2020 2.7 eb and love the truck and it’s ridiculous for what it is. If I was to go with a Silverado the 6.2 would hands down be there engine I’d go with.

Another just random thought. It’s kinda funny how up one arms people are getting in the comments about one engines supposed reliability vs the others. At this point in time I’d say it’s safe to assume there’s going to be tons of shitty builds and great builds from all manufacturers. Looking at the amount of trucks produced and comparing them to the sample size of whatever anecdotal experiences we all have, it’s kind of dumb to say X brand is better than Z brand. But then again I’m not a brand fanboy.

I'm gonna disagree I've had a 2017 ecoboost and a 2017 6.2 gmc I did not like the 6.2 the ecoboost so far has been better but jury is still out I also had the 5.0 which I liked better than the 6.2 buy that honestly could be because the last 2 gm products I've owned have been trash and had to be returned to dealer for another vehicle they don't make trucks or motors like they used to as far as durability and dependability imo to much computer bs

Why everyone hate on ecos so much? I mean ive had 2, both tuned, both I drove the fuck out of, one had ssi tunes for over 70k miles and yet, no problems. I mean yeah ive seen ecos fail, but I've seen hemis of all flavors, 5.3s, 6.2s, dmax, powajoke, cummins, 5.0s, all of them fail. Amd I've owned atleast one of most of those things on that list some ive owned several of. But it really does seem like the ecos get a lot of bad rep they don't deserve any more than any of the others. I was pretty impressed by my first eco and the current 14 model fx4 tremor that I got now, granted ive shifted into the diesel world now amd just use my tremor as my trusty fall back truck when all else fails. Either way nice little role race ya got, I don't praise the 6.2 like some, but I'll give credit where it's due on any rig no matter the make or model even if I do have my preferences that don't match. You do have ya a pretty sweet setup 🤙

My neighbor kept racing his 2018 F150 ecoboost. It has been in the shop for a month as it spun a main bearing. Yes he changed his oil on time. $7000 to fix.

Ford F-150 3.5 ecoboost with the 10 speed is a rocket it will for sure gap a 6.2 Silverado, I’m aware that f150 in the video was a 6 speed which is much slower then the 10 speed

The 6.2 wasn't stock... that was a gen 1 3.5 eb motor amd 6 speed. That 6.2 don't want to see the gen 2 3.5 and 10 speed. It's an animal. Also driver skill is a factor here. Good race

Hopefully come spring. There will be a rematch between me and my buddy. Both trucks tuned on E85 fuel, Trans tuned and similar weight. Dig and Roll race. I do expect the dig race to be alot closer this time.

Both trucks are nice I have never owned a 6.2 but have owned a Ecoboost and it used to have issues was lots of fun to drive but the one I had wasn't reliable which is why I don't own a Ecoboost anymore 😂

All you need to do is listen to the shifts on the Chevy to know that isn't a stock tune.

There's no way the V8 was standard, it would have got absolutely smoked if it were.

Seems like bs as other comments have stated, no way some heavy ass chevy with a 6.2 is outrunning a eco if it's a 10 speed 3.5
