We have the 2.7 and it runs awesome. Pulls a 33ft fifth wheel like nothing. It's gets better gas mileage than any of these other trucks. Has crazy torque for 4 cylinder. Don't hate until u drive one.

I liked the sound of the I4 but it should be in a 90s JDM car, not a full size American truck.

In all the years the 4.3 has been around, the sound really hasn’t changed! I had exhaust on my 91 Chevy K1500, and it sounded so much like this newer truck does!

I do know the 2.7 I4 turbo sound different than the 4.3 V6 and the other engines. I love 5.3 and 6.2 V8 sounds amazing.

The 2.7 sounds like a Diesel engine! The take off sounded like an in- line 6 cylinder Cummins

For the people hating on the 4 cylinder the specs are about on par with the 5.3 v8 unless your towing big shit and don’t care too much about fuel economy the 4 banger is a solid choice
