Did Constantine create the Catholic Church? According to Protestants, especially those belonging to pseudo-Christian, "Made in America" cult religions such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Fundamental Baptists, Seventh Day Adventists, the Catholic Church was a creation Constantine. If Constantine didn't create the Catholic Church, WHO DID? Easy question to answer: Jesus Christ established the Catholic Church on the foundation of the faith of His Apostles. Matthew 16:18-19 only confirms it.

BOTH the bible AND the writings of the early church fathers show that Constantine did NOT found the Catholic church. The word "catholic" was used to describe the church in writing in the year 110 by St. Ignatius of Antioch. Now for the Biblical proof:

Even the actions of pre-Constantine, pagan emperors testify to the existence of the church, including the primacy of the bishop of Rome. In 272, during a period of detente between Empire and Church, a group of eastern Bishops wrote to the emperor Aurelian, seeking the ouster of Paul of Samosata, Bishop of Antioch. Paul was supported Zenobia, empress of Palmyra. Aurelian, knowing the nature of Church government, referred the case to the Bishop of Rome, and upheld the Pope's decision.

None of this would have been possible if either the "trail of blood" or "Constantine did it" school of pseudo-history were true.

It's not only modern American cult protestants who aspouse this, but Modern Atheists, Christ Mythicists, Muslim "Apologists" and so many others peddle this stupid argument!

I'm an Orthodox Christian and not Catholic (for obvious reasons pertaining to the current "Vicar of Christ" and other reasons theologically), but I still respect Traditional Catholics. Likewise I still can't understand how these people who would kill eachother are so vehemently united to aspouse such historicall illiterate garbage.

Man its written in the Bible before the end of days, we will be filled with apostasy. Everyone needs to look up what that means. Some protestants say the Catholic Church was founded by Theodosius but they can't prove it. They read the Bible but they are liars! They don't follow Jesus but the father of lie.

As the Trinity is a "pagan teaching" then whoever tried to add it to scripture was clearly a pagan.
