Magic Man is a masterpiece. Such a classic, sensual sounding, 70's gem.

I feel like there is not an appreciation for how difficult this song is to do so perfectly on vocals. Ann is a goddess...

The lyrics in this song are so funny to me because it's so relatable to being young. "You don't understand mama, he's a Magic Man!" That's how everyone thinks about the first time they fall in love when you're young. It's the epitome of "Love is Blind" lol.

Ann could sing a peanut butter commercial jingle and I would be enraptured. Hands down one of the best vocalists ever.

I believe you guys would love "Straight on". Funky AF and I totally believe it'd be instant playlist lol

This is one of my favorite songs of all time. When I was a kid in the 70s this song actually scared me. It has a very ominous feel to it and obviously as a young child I had no idea what she was talking about, so I thought it was about some evil wizard or something casting spells on people. Needless to say it made a real impact on me at an early age and I have been drawn to this song ever since.

You missed it dudes, you talked through one of the best bridges and more importantly, this was totally new at the masochist rock time.

I very much enjoyed their cover of “Stairway to Heaven” at the Kennedy Center honors a few years back. The video is cool; they made the surviving band member cry.

Magic Man's name is Michael Fisher. He was Ann's boyfriend and the band manager. Ann has talked about the song in a couple different interviews. :)

Great honest reaction as always y’all. “Straight On” by Heart is another GREAT song from their late 70’s era. It’s definitely worth a listen.

This song is a slow burn and scorches in the end. Absolute fire.

In Washington state we were lucky to see the members of band playing in their own bands and touring the state when Heart wasn't touring. It was amazing the talent all their guitar players had and loved to play.

As a mom who's had teenage daughters, "try to understand he's a magic man mamma - he's got magic hands, " would not have reassured me. HAHAHAHA

George understands Anne Wilson lmao. He got EXACTLY what this and Crazy On You were about right off the bat

I was absolutely OBSESSED with this song when it was released. I was about 13 years old and I could relate to the feeling of being drunk with passion and totally SPELLBOUND by a man, a love at first sight scenario all the way!!!

Barracuda has so much more edge because it's an angry song. It's their response to the way they were treated by the music industry and media. This is still from their romantic less-jaded first album.

Damn I love Anne's voice.
Magic man and crazy on you were written about their guitar player who was with Ann are the time. They moved to Canadian Vancouver (if I'm not mistaken) for him to escape the Viet Nam draft. I believe she was in her late teens when she wrote these songs.
Love heart. Glad you came back to them.

You guys should listen to this song a couple more times. I listened to Heart for years before I realized this was their best song imo. It's just constructed so well. Btw, this song has been sampled many times, and many different parts of the song were sampled.
