Simple explanation: Taka (aka Scar) was actually part of the royal family and supposed to be king but once he and mufasa became brothers and grew up, Taka’s father chose Mufasa to be king instead of Taka which filled him with rage and anger

Of course, Scar wasn't always a power hungry sociopath, he was betrayed by his brother. Because we can never have a villain who's just bad for the sake of it, we have to give all villains a sympathetic reason for their actions

Best part they made white lions villains while in kimba the white lion when it was showed very old cartoon, they made normal colored lion a villain and white lion hero

What I'm getting from this is that Miranda was lost as a cub accepted into scars family because scar wanted to help him then they grew older had to fight then somehow Mufasa stole scars place as the rightful heir to the thrown. The amount of betrayal bro!!!! I can't wait to see the

I don't think taka(scar) becomes evil because he was jealous, in the lion guard scar becomes evil when he gets bitten by a snake and gets influenced to kill Mufasa from a strange lion, but he resists the temptation and destroys the evil lion. But Mufasa just rewarded him by giving him a nickname, that is scar because of the scar he got from the snake bit, which caused him to get angry and try to kill his brother
