Morello has played a guitar with the word “Commie” painted on it for a very long time. He told you who Rage was from waaaay back!

" Fuck you I won't do what you tell me "
Chants the crowd as they lined up for a few hours in a socially distanced fashion while presenting their covid papers for entrance to the venue.

As a former punk rocker, I never imagined i would be getting my "down with the system" fix from conservative rappers, but here we are. Let's go Brandon!

"...you just gotta love multi-million-dollar Communists." PRICELESS.

RATM: We hate Capitalism!
RATM: $300 ticket to see them live.
This stuff just writes itself.

In the 90s rockers were like "Tipper Gore is not going to put a warning on my record."
Now they are like "We need the government to regulate facebook, because they promoting dangerous conspiracy theories."

Tom Morello went to Harvard of all places and is documented as having played the "do you know who I am" card. He has never been anti-establishment.

Boomer Hippies from the 60's became 80's Yuppie Sellouts, and Gen X Alternative/Punk of the 90's became the Corporate, Government and Media Establishment of the 10's and 20's.

Other than genuine rebels and contrarians like Johnny Rotten, a depressing number of 'punks' end up selling out.

It's very simple: Rage Against the Machine got theirs. Screw everyone else.

Rage in 1994: “F@&$ You I won’t do what you tell me!”
Rage in 2021: “You better shut up and do what they tell you!”

RATM was never anti-establishment so much as pro-radical leftist, always.

I went to the same high school as Zach De La Rocha. He was a senior my freshman year. Irvine, CA. It doesn't get any more privileged. The ultimate "poor little rich kid."

Called the Offspring and “Rage” out as poseurs in the “90s….history has proven it….time has vindicated me.

Rage against the machine: a quintessential “I’m mad at my dad” group.

Funny thing - many of the punks I hung out with throughout the '80's into the 90's are now libertarians and voted for Trump.

When I was in college in the late 90's, my buddy and I had conversation about how the conservatives and liberals liked saying the same things about standing up against the system but we both believed it was the other side that controlled the system. Now I believe when it comes to politicians, there are no real sides. There is only the system.

He didn’t sell out. He just waited for his comrades to get into the upper power levels of govt. he is still just a whiny rich kid complaining about his own upbringing. He was always most popular with the whiny college kids that thought cultural revolution sounded like fun. Plenty of rock stars are just like him. Spread the wealth, just not mine.

Never fooled me.

I'm 51, Rage was my favorite band, they stood up and gave people like me a voice back then. Saw them several times live and now they are the biggest sellouts of them all. Now they Rage for the Machine.
