Basically TCP gives you a 100% guarantee that everything you send will be received and will be received in the correct order and UDP kind of just sends packets and doesn't care

TCP is a “Two Way Handshake” while UDP is acts more like a broadcast for anyone listening. Videogame Lobbies will broadcast updates to any player listening. While other apps like messaging will use TCP for more secure connection

TCP is, in effect, implemented on UDP as is QUIC. So it's more like computing a function on your own or using a library
