Biggest Red Flag to a Visa Officer | Ex-Visa Officer tells what you need to know for your interview

The visa interview is much more than just answering questions that you have practiced. We do NOT recommend memorizing answers. It's important to prepare well for your visa interview so that your answers feel sincere to the Visa Officer.

The Visa Officer's decision is based on not just your answers but how you answer them. If it comes off too rehearsed, that will be bad for your interview. You can also be not prepared enough. Don't let the way you answer the questions be the reason you get denied!

If you are denying applicants for going prepared for the interview and memorizing what they are gonna say because they obviously get nervous, you were, really, a really bad visa officer.

a rehearsal is the number one way people deal with being nervous when you have possibly your whole future on the line. AYFKM.. or people can use walk across the border.

I had my interview last week and i memorized dates as i didnt often think if the dates i managed to get so many questions "wrong" but she still approved me 😊. (By wrong i mean that she asked me when i last saw my fiancé and i accidently said christmas when actually he came over in march which was the last trip

I got my visa approved last month it is quiet easy but the environment in the cabin is quite nerve recking, so its quite hard to answer without stuttering. Advise- think of them as your equal and not some judge.
