Doesn’t really work, the original line is still there.

This is not a great solution for creating thicker line weights for certain entities, for example interior and exterior walls. Instead you can save a scene with whatever style one wanted, than in layout create a copy of the viewport, and that copy make it so that it only shows for example only walls and than you can apply a custom style to that copied viewport, line weight, etc and hatch and add line weight adjustments to now only the walls instantly. You can than save the layout file with the associated sketchup file as templates and instantly when you draw new objects in your sketchup model your layout viewports will update and everything will change without having to do any manual entries anymore. Creating custom stacked viewports is the best way to go for controlling line weights of individual entities, etc. Avoid manual dashed lines, etc.
