The persians had a very deep influence on the Islamic culture that many of their traditions today can be seen in what is knwon as the middle eastern Oriental culture. From clothing to cuisine to music. You can truly say that while Islamic culture was Arabic in language it was Persian in behavior.

Never heard of Nader Shah before but after a Wikipedia binge I certainly have now, what an incredible general.

the Safavid family originated in Kurdistan, and later moved to Iranian Azarpadegan, where they adopted the Azari form of Turkish spoken there, and eventually settled in the small town of Ardabil sometime during the eleventh century. Traditional pre-1501 Safavid manuscripts trace the lineage of the Safavids to the Kurdish dignitary, Firuz-Shah Zarrin-Kolah.
