4 hours from Shanghai to Beijing including the time that stop at some mid stations.
What does this mean? It means u can have breakfast at LA than have lunch at Chicago.

One third the time, one third cost of a taxi. Love the Maglev.

Thanks so much for uploading, great video. The seats looked a little cheap for such an expensive train though

A one-way trip is 50 RMB for economy or 100 for VIP (2 seats across instead of 3), which translates into $8.17 and $16.34 respectively.

I would like to point out to the people that are complaining about who stole the maglev technology from the japanese in fact it was British designed in the late 1960's but us Brits didnt use it and sold it to the japanese who later went on the start using it.

How did you like the ride? Was it as smooth and quiet as you expected?

The other train passed in less than a second!!! That is mind-mindbogglingly fast!

If humanity is able to engineer something like this, what the hell is stopping us from going to Mars?

Chinese should be proud that the the Transrapid train in Shanghai kept running for 10 years (launched in 2003) with just one minor fire accident. in Germany they had a major crash on test track in 2006 that killed 23 people.

You couldn't have said it any better.

Would be a more interesting video had there been more attention on the outside scenery and not the climbing speedometer or other passenger filming the event.
