This video demonstrates the assessment of the lymph nodes and salivary glands of the head and neck. This can be done as a stand alone exam when investigating upper and lower respiratory tract infections. It also is frequently assessed in OSCEs as part of a respiratory examination.

Hi! I am curious..If these areas, specifically under the jaw & near neck, are sore is it likely lymph nodes inflammation or could it strictly be muscular ? Ty!

What can cause submandibular lymph node swelling? Chronic sore throat + inner ear itching + Loss of voice for since august.

May have a slight mold exposure in my house! Could this cause it? Also chronic Marijuana + Nicotine user. Cancer??
Have ENT Appointment November, 1st. But would love a reply to ease the mind.
