I loved how the show essentially had 3 finales.
All in a row.
One where they get to save Earth.
One where they beat the Bad Place and get to go to the Good Place.
One where they save the Good Place.
[And one where they all return to some form of cycle.]

In a way, even in the real good place Michael was being tortured. Even the angels barely hesitated before dumping all of their problems and responsibilities onto him just like everyone else always did, tricking him into putting himself in charge of the entire realm and then literally running away.
