Interesting subject on the affects of cold treatments. I have just done a short essay regarding cryotherapy, where liquid nitrogen is used to cool the body. Great tips on cold treatment on this video. Thanks for that.

VERY GOOD VIDEO TO AVOID HYPOTHERMIA OR AFTERDROP. Go slow, safety first.

It's really good. It works out the parts of the body that you can't work out with muscles.

Hi. I do cold bath on my swimming pool in the winter. The water is at 12 ⁰C and I can barely stay 30 sec in the water after that the pain is getting worse and worse. I start to feel my bones and a choke on my neck. I go in and out 3 times and then I take a cold shower after and I feel very comfortable. What I feel when the temperature is low like this is that the water is lethal so when I start to feel the pain I get out and wait a minute or two and go again. When I go in I go slowly to avoid any accidents.

Although you are a scientist, like all academics, you left out key caveats to cold water therapy along with exercise. As stated by research which you apparently left out is that after an intense muscle exercise, one should wait at least 1 hour after exercise and then immerse oneself in the water, thus improving overall muscle recovery and performance. Scientist like mainstream media tend to leave out vastly key important data points.

Thanks for the video. I’m starting my 30
Day cold shower challenge soon. In the hope i get something positive out it to change my life. My only concern is I have Raynaud's disease. Iv been told that it might actually help that also. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I fell into 0 degree Celsius ocean water for approximately 15 minutes before I was rescued and brought back to shore. I was wearing winter clothes, jacket, boots but did have on survival gear. I am experiencing extreme pain in my legs, stomach, arms and hands. My legs in particular are much weaker than before the fall and are now covered in varicose veins. My fingers are numb. My spine hurts. Is it possible to have nerve damage from this awful experience? It happened about a month ago. How long before these symptoms go away or are permanent?

Hi - great video, a brilliant starting point for me to use as I'm working on an essay about hot and cold water immersion treatment therapies. I don't suppose you could provide some references for the points you made? Certainly got a lot of research ahead of me :) Thank you!
