They just updated the ET7 and started delivering it - I'm sure they've fixed a lot of issues. Software should be fixed too! Exciting brand :)

The place for the phone is a charger, it has to be turned on the menu. And you can change the information on the right side of the instrumentcluster. You have to press and hold a button on the steeringwheel. Just fyi😀

Some of the issues you presented in the video were your opinion like you don't like a lot of driving modes, or you don't like the lever that changes the modes. Furthermore, I think the specific model you received was defective. Because I just watched more than 15 different reviews about the car, and in none of them was the problem with the speakers, there were no bugs, everything ran smoothly. Regarding the autonomous/adaptive driving is bad.
It has control over almost all things in the car, and by and large it's just a very cool addition. You said the car costs 100 thousand euros. And that's not really accurate... in Norway an ET7 including a battery but without extras costs 63 thousand euros. 63 is not a hundred. If I decide I want everything the most expensive the most. So I will reach at least 80 thousand yen. Far from a hundred thousand euros. Regarding charging... Yes, it is a serious problem, and NIO's way of dealing with it is battery exchange stations. You said that it is relevant because there are hardly any in Europe. But in China there are more than 1400. And NIO also plans to build more than 1200 of these in Europe alone by 2025. Today there are hybrid stations and in less than five minutes you have a new battery. Changing batteries has a lot of advantages and they will arrive in the 2024/2025 region and then it will be a game changer in Europe as well.

Thanks for a detailed review. I would prefer the screens was integrated in the dashboard. It seems "cheap" just mounting it on the dash.. But I see many do this now to save money. Hyperscreen is still the reference implementation of integrated sceens with Taycan on a second place

Regarding the use of cow leathers, your opinion is incorrect. Cows are not killed for the purpose of using their leathers, they are for human consumption. The skin leather is a by-product, in this way you will value a resource that would otherwise be wasted and thrown away.
It's the circular economy at work.

I really see the Nio Battery swap as a great function to have if you don't have home/work charging and you live near a swap station. For roadtripping however it's more of a gimmick as on the same footprint a swap station has, they can put in a lot of HPCs instead and have a greater throughput of cars. And on the roadtrip you want to be able to plug in and leave the car to use the facilities and maybe eat, not be stuck in the car for a quite a few minutes to then leave the car idle for another few minutes as you head for the facilities.

Looks good, which i do not really care.
Does it work good - is its UI practival simple and works all the time?
Does it last long, are the matierial and rust protection up to par?
How is the performance, driving, safety, security, repeatability, charging times, nagging, Software stability?
How many and how long are the necessary callbacks and repairs which every new product must go through?
When will the price go down below their competition?

It might not drive like a german car tho it its suspension is german from Continental and the steering is german too from ThyssenKrupp :)

It would be helpful if Nio could provide some education for the reviewers. I found many western reviewers grossly under educated about Nio car's features. Nio really need to do a better job on communication.

You contradict yourself...

"Doesn't wallow and ride like a Mercedes but doesn't feel planted like a German car " last i checked Mercedes is German..

"It does not feel, sound or ride like a German car." So what does a German car ride like?

Suspension feel is so subjective, maybe the ET7 isnt achieving YOUR definition of what a car should ride like which is sporty. But sporty suspensions usually comes off as harsh and firm for some which may not be what a potential buyer of this class of car is looking for. Then you mention "it's not sporty and doesn't try to be sporty"... So..what are you looking for??

According to the Germans/ Mercedes EQS this class is suppose to be "boaty and float like" which you seem to dislike.... What are you looking for?

For a Brand w/o trusted history of the durability and quality the price is very high. So do not suppose this car has a Chance in the Market.
