NIO ET7 Test Drive First Impressions - The Good, Bad, And Ugly?

Today I took a test drive of the NIO ET7 in Shenzhen, China. I unfortunately was not able to film the test drive because the car is not a production model and is still missing some important features (like a fully functional OS). Still, I really thought highly of the car, and you can hear what I think, good and bad, here in this video. I really like the design and its logo. The logo of a car is so important, so i don’t know why companies like KIA made its logo so ugly and cheap looking. The NIO logo matched with entire lines of the car rendering it sooo harmonious. I’ll definitely get one when it comes to the U.S.

Nice! I am waiting for my test drive in the coming days and pushing the NIO fellow to tell me the delivery day. Currently under lockdown in our Shanghai office for 2 days, though. Hope to be out in time.

The problem with introducing these models without the software functionality working properly is that it might deter NIO buyers who beforehand might've considered NIO over TESLA, BYD, Xpeng, etc. Hope NIO software developers and engineers have these issues under control.

Great information about the car Eric. Just a few questions. Did the car have 4g or 5g displayed on the top of the screen? Did the driver seat have massage function? & What level of autonomy is advertised with it's higher overall specs & computing power over the gen 1 models? Thanks for sharing 🙏

Would you change your mind of getting ET7 instead of ET5 after test driving it? Market rumour is saying people are selling the prebooking of ET7 at double the money.

Of course et7 software had to act up while a top youtuber was test driving the car. Hopefully that'll all be cleared up at delivery
