Mischief Makers, known in Japan as Yuke Yuke!! Trouble Makers ( ゆけゆけ!!トラブルメーカーズ), is a 1997 side-scrolling platform video game developed by Treasure and published by Enix and Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. The player assumes the role of Marina, a robotic maid who journeys to rescue her creator from the emperor of Planet Clancer. The gameplay revolves around grabbing, shaking, and throwing objects. There are five worlds and 52 levels, and the game is displayed in "2½D".

The game was the first 2D side-scroller for the Nintendo 64, and Treasure's first release for a Nintendo console. The company began Mischief Makers's development in mid-1995 with little knowledge of the console's features. The 12-person team wanted to make a novel gameplay mechanic, and implementing the resultant "catching" technique became their most difficult task. The game appeared at the 1997 Electronic Entertainment Expo and was first released in Japan on June 27, 1997, and later in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

I played this game when I was 11 years old. I'm now 35. I have great memories of this game but memories fade over time. I hardly remember what I am seeing. Man, life is short.

I am amazed on how almost every single stage had it's own unique gimmick, considering how long it is and how low-budgeted it is.

I used to play this as a child on my uncles n64. Had to have been 25 years ago atp. I remember getting stuck and not knowing what to do every time I tried playing.

Had to search up “every n64 game ever made” on google just to find out the name of this..

Once I saw mischief makers it ignited something dormant in me and I just knew.. it’s enough to make a grown man cry.

It feels like forever ago, and not that long ago at the same time.

Time itself is weird in that way.

I grew up in a shitty household.
My mom and dad fought constantly. They divorced, my mom was evil.
My mom would take it out on me physically and emotionally.
So video games were my retreat.

And this game, I don't remember how I got it but I'm glad I did.
It moments where I felt like God abandoned me and that I was useless, this game was my rescue..

And as a adult, I suffer with serious trauma, PTSD, anxiety with agoraphobia, depression and BPD. And I am having a shitty week and happened to be reccomended this for whatever reason.

And just thank you for uploading this.
You might not know it, but you've saved a life.

2:38:41 Imagine being a super being boss who could literally destroy the world, just to get flexed on by a robo girl who grabs your foot and aggressively says "SHAKE SHAKE".

I'm kinda glad so many people either remember or are really interested in this game. It was a big deal to me in its era. Hoping for a re-release even though the copyright is so tangled. Your gameplay shows the same passion! 😖👍

this game changed my life, I was the only witness to its weirdness with no way to record or describe the shit I saw on each new level to my friends, so glad this video exist to confirm I didn't just hallucinate any of it, ahead of its time and beyond creative

This game was so awesome. Probably the most underrated N64 game.

Listening back on it now the music reminds of a mix of FF Tactics and Kirby 64. Miss this game, quite the hidden treasure among the N64 lineup

At face value, this looks nothing like the type of game I'd waste my time on but it will always have a place in my heart. Really miss this game. Wish there was a modern re-release.Can't remember how I came across this gem for certain, but I think I might have borrowed or rented it way back in the day. Maybe someday this game will emerge on a modern platform. It deserves another chance.
